The kidnapping and murder of Jan Prenga / Details emerge from the hearing held

Today, a hearing was held at the Special Court in the case of Dritan Rexhepi and other defendants for the murder and kidnapping of Jan Prenga.

According to reports, in today's session, the defendants' defense has objected to the new evidence presented by the Special Prosecution Office.

In today's session, Dritan Rexhepi and defendant AM were not present, while the other defendants GF, GM, KK, AD, and MB are being tried in absentia.

Meanwhile, it is announced that the next hearing will be held on June 30 at 09:30. The court will decide whether or not to accept the Prosecution's evidence.

The serious incident occurred in January 2020 in Kamëz, where according to the police, Jan Prenga was killed the same day he was kidnapped and taken without signs of life to a resort in Shijak.

The Special Prosecution Office closed the investigation a year later into those considered to have ordered and organized the kidnapping of Jan Prenga, and asked the court to indict them. They are accused of kidnapping and disappearance of a corpse, criminal offenses committed within the framework of a criminal group. /CNA
