Activist and lecturer Ervin Goci spoke in a television appearance about the protests, which he said had limited purposes.

Goci said that this protest, according to him, is a national uprising and has sparked reactions across the globe.

Reactions that, according to Goci, did not come out of solidarity with Tirana, but because the government had the entire national interest at heart and the country is in an existential situation.

 

"We take the protest as, as a little exhibition event like who knows, but in the meantime, of course, the protests have had limited purposes. This is for me, it's a national uprising, it's no longer just a protest. At the moment there are reactions all over the globe, there may have been protests in the diaspora, there may be hundreds, I don't know how many there are.

And why did this happen here? It didn't happen out of solidarity with Tirana, it didn't happen because there was a protest in Tirana, they will be raised in Toronto. The protest here was raised because the state, the government has seized, that is, it has completely seized the national interest, it has seized the nation, it has seized the lands, it has seized the material assets, the spiritual assets, it has seized everything and here we are in an existential situation, so, is it us or is it an oligarchy or a, who knows, money that circulates that I don't know where it comes from, but for me it is completely informal money and it is not transparent money" , said Goci./CNA
