Prime Minister Edi Rama has published the World Bank's report on Food Security where it is stated that Albania has the lowest level of inflation on prices for food products.

According to Rama, the basic reason for curbing the gallop of inflation in our country is the government's financial shield on the price of energy.

"According to the World Bank's September report on Food Security, in the analysis of the effects of the war on food prices and the state of production/supply, Albania has the lowest inflation rate on food prices, compared to other countries of the region. The increase in prices in Albania is almost half of the increase reported in almost all the countries of the region. The basic reason for curbing the gallop of inflation in our country is the government's financial shield on the price of energy, which is kept unaffected by the increase as a result of massive compensation from the state budget", writes Rama./ CNA.al
