Rama, reform in tourism: Permits for the beaches will be taken only by hotels,

Prime Minister Edi Rama announced the reform for the radical change in the process of giving beaches to private parties.

In his "Flasim" podcast, Rama stated that, except for those who have hotels, sunbeds will not be given to beach bars or restaurants.

"You can put a beach bar but you don't have sunbeds. You can have a restaurant but you don't have sunbeds. The beach should be enjoyed in the best possible way. And enjoying the beach between those beds next to each other is impossible.

You can't have a hotel with 40 rooms and put 200 sunbeds and take people there and make them pay. You will put sunbeds as much as you have capacity! Obviously not one per room, and you'll leave distance from chaise longue to chaise longue.

You can't take the sunbeds to the shore, so that when people want to go to the shore, it's impossible to either swim or get out of the way and curse themselves for coming to the beach," Rama said./ CNA
