The French ambassador, Catherine Suard, was in Korça on Friday, at an event focusing on livestock.

She requested as much support as possible for this sector and projects to develop agriculture and livestock.

Also, the ambassador expressed France's support for Albania's integration into the EU.

"This project was to help Albania, especially for the entry into the European Union and helping Albanian farmers in relation to this livestock and agriculture project, respecting nature, respecting the different opportunities of farmers to develop agriculture and livestock more.

The point is to ensure good practices, the sharing of these practices to as many farmers as possible, which is mediated by the Albanian Ministry of Agriculture, which will further develop this opportunity.

This project has been going on for years, it has been more than 3 years since it started and will continue, but it is important to continue supporting agriculture and livestock, to implement good practices, taking into account climate change, so that it continues further in relation to agriculture.

What I said is what the president told me 1 year ago, when he was in Albania, and he repeated it when the Prime Minister of Albania was in France. We want to support the journey towards the European Union", she emphasized.

In Korça, the activity was held within the "Open Gates" project, in the premises of the Directorate of Livestock Technologies./ CNA
