The draft law for the legalization of cannabis/ the 3 socialists who abstained

The 3 socialist MPs, Fatmir Xhafaj, Pandeli Majko and Erion Braçe, abstained from voting on the draft law for the legalization of cannabis for medical and industrial purposes.

Majko and Braçe also abstained in the Laws Committee when the law was passed with 13 votes in favor.

The law was voted in the early hours of the morning, after a marathon session in the Assembly, where there were very heated debates between the opposition and the majority.

The draft law for the Academy of Sciences was also approved, where Skënder Gjinushi was allowed a second term and the age limit of 75 was removed.

The draft law for students was also voted, which obliges them to work for 5 years in their country and then they can withdraw their diplomas.
