State Police deepens scandal/Acts with double standards

The State Police continues to deepen the scandal. A few days ago, no police officers were seen at SPAK during the protest organized by the Tirana Municipality administration while the hearing for Erion Veliaj was being held.

The absence of the State Police at SPAK, neglecting the request of the Guard, which requested the intervention of the blue police to maintain the security perimeter, put the lives of the prosecutors and judges present at the session at risk. The Prosecution and the Special Court, regarding the negligence shown by Ilir Proda's subordinates, addressed an official letter to the State Police, the Ministry of Interior and the Supreme Court of Justice. 

However, the State Police continues to operate with double standards, with no officers present at the SPAK administration's protest in full armor today. The Special Prosecution Office has been armored since the early hours of the morning, as the leader of the Democratic Party, Sali Berisha, was scheduled to attend, and he also held a press conference outside the Special Prosecution Office./ CNA
