The 36-year-old man was caught in the act and put in handcuffs when he was transporting various consumer goods (worth 1,000,000 ALL), suspected of being smuggled into our country, in a van with the intention of selling them.

A 30-year-old man was arrested by the police after he was caught red-handed while transporting various goods for consumption suspected to be smuggled into our country in a van, with the intention of selling them.

Thanks to the coded police operation "Black Market", citizen BJ, 36 years old, resident of Kukës, was arrested.

The 36-year-old was caught red-handed, in Mirdita, while he was transporting 216 cases of beverage cans and 190 boxes of various goods, worth 1,000,000 ALL, in a van, with the intention of selling them.

The goods are suspected to have been smuggled into our country, as they were not equipped with tax invoices or declarations of origin.

The goods and products transported by the citizen BJ were seized as material evidence, together with the van, the mobile phone of this citizen and 800,000 lek found during the physical check, which are suspected to have been profited from the sale of these products.

The procedural materials were passed to the Prosecution at the Court of First Instance of the General Jurisdiction of Lezhë, for further actions./ CNA
