The meeting between representatives of farmers and livestock breeders with the Minister of Finance, Petrit Malaj, and the Minister of Agriculture, Andis Salla, has concluded.

According to the farmers' representative, the minister stated that the possibility of increasing subsidies will be reviewed from September. The same was stated regarding the reduction in the price of oil. 

"Regarding subsidies, the measures will be reviewed from September. For oil, the Minister of Finance said that it is the same as for other consumers, the excise tax has been reduced by 20%. Due to the war, no other measures are being taken. The support measure will be reviewed in September. We will discuss how it will continue in the future. We have been told that each invoice will be reimbursed by 10% ," said one of the representatives.

Meanwhile, other farmers have spoken out against this statement by the minister, and demand that he confront other farmers as well.

"They are making fun of us. Why isn't there a war for the countries in the region that have subsidies?" , said one of the livestock farmers.

The protest is expected to move to the Prime Minister's Office, while protesters have warned of escalation. /CNA
