The Minister of Education, Evis Kushi, after discussions with the Union of Employees of the Universities of Albania, has revealed that some of the lecturers' issues are in the review process.

Who has decided that the issue of salary increase, one of the main points of the teachers' demands, remains within the dialogue.

" Today we held a long discussion table with the Union of Employees of the Universities of Albania regarding the demands presented by them.

Pjesën më të madhe të çështjeve të parashtruara e kemi tashmë në proces draftimi edhe me Komitetin e Përbashkët të Politikave për Arsimin e Lartë dhe Konferencën e Rektorëve, të tilla si:

- mbështetja e kërkimit shkencor, e cila do të reflektohet edhe në Strategjinë e re Kombëtare të Shkencës, Teknologjisë dhe Inovacionit;

- rishikimi i udhëzimit për veprimtarinë dhe ngarkesën mësimore të pedagogëve;

- rishikimi i procedurave për pagesën e orëve suplementare;

- rishikimi i kritereve për marrjen e titujve akademike;

- si dhe rritja e transparencës për veprimtarinë akademike dhe financiare të universiteteve.

We intend for this policy to be linked to the performance of universities, in order to evaluate success and promote quality and competition", writes Kushi on social networks./ CNA.al
