Meta does not stop the 'gall'/ The Files Authority reveals another

The Authority for Information on the Documents of the former State Security has reacted to the statements made last night by the head of the Freedom Party, Ilir Meta, who spoke about the IM spy file

Through a status on social networks, the Dossier Authority says that Meta's language is offensive and violates the dignity of each of the Authority's members.

The Dossier Authority points out that insulting a person's morals and dignity is considered a criminal offense in the Criminal Code of Albania, which is punishable by a fine from fifty thousand to three million ALL.

“Autoriteti për Informimin mbi Dokumentet e ish-Sigurimit të Shtetit në mënyrë të përsëritur konstaton, me keqardhje, se gjuha e përdorur nga ana e z. Fyerja kundrejt moralit dhe dinjitetit të personit parashikohet si vepër penale në Kodin Penal të Republikës së Shqipërisë, i ndryshuar, neni 119, paragrafi 2, i cili parashikon se: ‘Po kjo vepër, kur kryhet botërisht, në dëm të disa personave më shumë se një herë, përbën kundërvajtje penale dhe dënohet me gjobë nga pesëdhjetë mijë gjer në tre milionë lekë.”

Autoriteti shpreh keqardhje që shprehje fyese dhe jo etike, vijnë nga ish-zyrtarë në funksionet më të larta shtetërore dhe synojnë intimidimin e trupës kolegjiale gjatë zbatimit të detyrës për informimin e publikut me dokumente të ish-Sigurimit të Shtetit.

Institucionet ligj zbatuese, përfshirë këtu edhe institucionet ku është paraqitur kallëzimi penal ndaj anëtarëve të Autoritetit, duhet të lejohen të kryejnë detyrën e tyre në këtë drejtim.
