The solemn session of the Francophonie Youth Parliament is held in the Assembly

In Tirana, in the Assembly hall, a solemn opening session of the work of the Francophonie Youth Parliament was held, which is being organized in Tirana from July 25-31, 2022, as a collaboration of the International Secretariat of Francophonie (APF), the Municipality of Tirana and the Ministry of Tourism and Environment, organized under the auspices of the Assembly of Albania.

Në këtë seancë ka përshëndetur nënkryetarja e Kuvendit, znj.Ermonela Felaj, e cila pasi u uroi mirëseardhjen të rinjve në Parlamentin shqiptar, vlerësoi përzgjedhjen e kryeqytetit shqiptar për realizimin e këtij aktiviteti, në vitin kur Tirana është shpallur Kryeqyteti Evropian i Rinisë.

Duke theksuar rolin e Organizatës Ndërkombëtare të Frankofonisë, e cila ka në bosht të saj bashkëpunimin, solidaritetin, kulturën dhe zhvillimin, znj.Felaj nënvizoi se Shqipëria është një anëtare e përkushtuar e saj, me kontribute në rigjallërimin e kulturës dhe gjuhës frënge.

Në aktivitet përshëndetën Presidenti i APF, z.Francis Drouin, Kryetari i Bashkisë së Tiranës, z.Erjon Veliaj, Kryetari i Misionit për Europën, z.Jean-Charles Luperto.

The Francophonie Youth Parliament has awarded the Mayor Erion Veliaj the title "Commander of the Order of the Pleiades of Francophonie and dialogue between cultures".

Veliaj appreciated this title by expressing his thanks to President Francis Drouin and the former President of APF, Jean-Charles Luperto. "I am grateful that Tirana, in addition to being the European Youth Capital, is also the World Francophone Capital this year and welcomes the work of the Francophone Youth Parliament this week," Veliaj said.

During this week, young people will hold several parliamentary committee meetings, where they will have the opportunity to discuss various topics and issues related to inter-parliamentary cooperation, education, technology, culture, environmental protection, etc. /CNA.al
