Opposition protest/Journalist: Police were violent towards protesters

Journalist Armand Shkullaku spoke this evening regarding the opposition protest and clashes with police forces.
Invited to "Çim Peka Live" on Syri TV, Shkullaku said that police violence during opposition protests has been increasing each time. He said that no change can be made in a country where, according to him, every freedom has been taken away from citizens.
Among other things, Shkullaku said that it has never happened in any other country that 5 protesters have been left in prison just because they participated in a rally.
"Violence and police actions are analyzed here. Totalitarian regimes that become more democratic do not exist. We have seen violence 7-8 years ago, but it does not compare to today's violence. Because today's opposition is attacked without doing anything. Water is thrown at the opposition leader before he even finishes his speech. You cannot expect citizens to increase. Those who lead the police today are the ones who help steal the elections. Who drag the former president of the country away to terrify opposition voters. This is the police of a regime that de facto outlawed the main opposition party. This has not happened in any other country. How can citizens wake up when there is no civil society? You have a government that intensifies violence and buys off political opponents with the money of crime. Edi Rama no longer wants anyone to bother him, neither the opposition nor citizens. We want that while these freedoms are limited, the people on the streets increase. Change cannot be made with a regime that has removed every freedom. The opposition should also consider the option of going home. Citizens should then either confront the regime or leave it. It is not a question of people, it is violence. 5 people were put in prison today, which does not happen in any country in the world. People in prison, people beaten, MPs beaten. Berisha, 80 years old, was attacked with water and pepper. Rama intends to hold on to power at any cost , "said Shkullaku. /CNA
