Analyst Kreshnik Spahiu has described as a scandal, which had not happened since the time of the dictator Enver Hoxha, the fact that the Foreign Ministry took over the powers of DASH and dealt with the terms of the mandate of the American ambassador to Albania, Yuri Kim.

During an interview in Euronea, Spahiu said that this announcement was not made by chance by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, he even called it diplomatic blackmail.

“Fatkeqësisht, Ministria e Jashtme e Republikës së Shqipërisë, mori kompetencat e Departamentit amerikan të Shtetit, në kapërcim të kompetencave ligjore dhe në thyerje të etikës diplomatike. Ministria e Jashtme e Republikës së Shqipërisë u mor me afatet e mandatit të ambasadores amerikane. Ky ishte një skandal që nuk kishte ndodhur në kohën e Enver Hoxhës. Enver Hoxha u jepte drejtim ose i mbyllte fare marrëdhëniet diplomatike, por nuk thoshte, të merrej me emërimin dhe shkarkimin e ambasadorëve të huaj.
