Where do bullets come from on justice?

This afternoon, a gunshot was fired inside the premises of the General Court of Appeal, a unique court, the only one Albania has, and Judge Astrit Kalaja was killed. A reprehensible criminal act that comes as another unstoppable attack on justice. The attack on Astrit Kalaja is not accidental.

It is an attack with bullets on justice, bullets that have been thrown at prosecutors and judges for years. They were first thrown with the justice reform, a much-debated, truncated reform, which has unfairly removed from the system professionals who have not been able to justify a garage and have maintained a system of corrupt or heavily accused people, made millionaires, with questionable decisions and perhaps even with criminal connections.

Beyond the justice reform, various journalists have relentlessly attacked the judiciary and the prosecution. Some of them even say that the Supreme Court is in the hands of the Socialist Party. You can see this in Mero Baze's notes and editorials.

The Prime Minister himself is one of the people who has attacked and accused prosecutors and judges for the decisions they have made and has always wanted justice to side with the government.

In fact, justice does not side with the government and the government, but with the law, and if Rama's government officials were stupid in preparing documents, it is not the fault of the judge or the prosecutor.

And if the state's lawyers didn't know how to go to defend themselves or properly file a case, it's not the judge's fault.

Today's attack on Judge Astrit Kalaja is an attack on all justice, on judges, on prosecutors, on the entire system that is being attacked and accused in an unstoppable manner. In the most criminal attacks we have seen and in those made by Erion Veliaj, the former mayor of Tirana who is in Durrës prison, who went so far as to manipulate the accusations that prosecutors had asked him for 2 million euros to release him from prison.

The dirtiest schemes and scenarios, with personal attacks on prosecutor Ols Dado, saying that he had asked for additional permission and today, after 50 days, he has not issued it. But it is not only Dado who has been attacked. He has been criminally attacked by Sali Berisha, Altin Dumani.

His family and wife have been exposed. Other judges have been attacked in a criminal manner. No one rightly so, because none of them have been held legally accountable where they belong, but simply public, political, criminal accusations have been made, which give courage to gangs, give courage to irresponsible people, to crime to take up arms and raise their hand against justice. The Italian mafia of the 70s and 80s did this too. Escobar did this too in Colombia with justice and politics, there is no big difference.

The bullets against justice today have been encouraged by politics and no one else. The facts are endless. The proof is the bullets on Judge Astrit Kalaja./ CNA
