A lie that exposes the prime minister

Prime Minister Edi Rama, in his podcast today, where he invited the candidate for mayor of Tirana, Ogerta Manastirliu, did not spare his positions on the presidential decree, Mayor Veliaj, Manastirliu himself, etc.

But among them, he continues to repeat, or slip a lie, a disinformation, that in fact "exposes him naked". Because it is easily verifiable, now all Albanians know it, despite the fact that in politics repetition is the mother of knowledge, in order to fill the public opinion with injustices, lies are told or certain theses are repeatedly, unstoppably attacked, disinformation with the aim of a certain political issue such as the Veliaj thesis.

In this specific case, the Prime Minister mentioned a fact: Erion Veliaj was taken from the office without trial and taken to detention where he has been held for months. Erion uses the same thesis: “They brutally took me from the office without trial and took me to prison.”

In fact, the seizure of Erion Veliaj's office is a serious legal violation, but it is not on Veliaj's side, it is on the side of justice. We recall here the cases of arrest of other officials Ilir Beqaj, MPs like Tom Doshi, etc., who have appeared in handcuffs when they were escorted or went to court.

Now the only video and photo circulating is this one, of Erion Veliaj not in handcuffs.

Erion Veliaj, based on legal procedure, should have been imprisoned and not treated like a prince, all nice and nice, and taken to the car. So this is a first violation that is not on Veliaj's side. He was not treated brutally at all, nor were the handcuffs put on. They treated him like a gentleman, they told him to come with us, they put him in the car and escorted him. Without any violence, without any kind of resistance, no complaints and no kind of conflict with the BKH officers who escorted him.

So we have a lie told by the prime minister, with brutal justice. He was removed from office. But how was he removed, the question arises? With or without a trial?

In fact, no one could arrest Erion Veliaj without a trial. A person cannot be arrested in Albania simply and solely with a prosecutor's order. Because the prosecutor's actions are certified by the court. It was a decision of the GJKKO, which accepted the arrest of Erion Veliaj, after the facts and evidence that had begun to be revealed in his files.

The evidence was being destroyed and this is proven and for this reason Klotilda Bushka, the former chairwoman of the Laws Commission, is also being charged. Veliaj was not removed from office without trial and was taken into custody for no reason.

Erion Veliaj was taken from the office as a gentleman and taken into custody by court order.

Not only with a simple act of Erion Bani, but it has passed through all levels of courts. It has actually passed, on appeal, to the Supreme Court, where the security measure has been assessed as legal. The facts and evidence found by the prosecutors have led the judges to leave Erion Veliaj in prison.

Therefore, these repeated lies of Prime Minister Rama that he is in prison without trial, simply and only "expose the king naked". "The brutal justice, what did he do to the idiot". They have treated him like a gentleman, they have not even thrown off the handcuffs, because he should have left the office in handcuffs. Because it is by court decision and his arrest is totally legal, this is what all levels of the courts say.

What is said by politics is already known, justifications are sought, facts, but not truths and forward with disinformation. Facts to fabricate the minds of militants, of public opinion with lies and untruths that often expose you naked. As in our case they exposed Prime Minister Rama./ CNA
