Why wasn't Erion Veliaj heard in the Municipal Council of socialites?

The Mayor of Tirana, who is in Durrës prison, Erion Veliaj, asked to be heard before his dismissal by the Municipal Council, a structure with a socialist majority.

In fact, the Municipal Council, as we emphasized, is a structure controlled by the majority and whether or not the DP votes for Veliaj's dismissal is irrelevant, but what is important is the fact that the opposition has been demanding the dismissal of the mayor of Tirana for months and it was the prime minister who responded to the opposition's request made months ago, demanding that Veliaj be dismissed from the Municipal Council and then brought to the Council of Ministers.

But why wasn't Erion Veliaj heard?

First, the scoundrel continues to play games and circuses simply and solely with one final goal, which for him is the trial in Strasbourg.

He knows very well that the prosecutors have so well covered up his case that he is simply hoping to grab hold of some hair to later take it and make a trap.

On the other hand, his strategy is clear, everything is readable both in the media from his stinking dice but also publicly.

Veliaj asked to be heard by the Municipal Council, but who did he address?

He simply made a request, saying that the Council should hear me out before dismissing me.

In fact, the answer was given immediately. Erion Veliaj could have sent it in writing, he could have sent an audio message, or he could have sent it through his two lawyers, who are the defense representatives in court facing SPAK prosecutors.

But Erioni didn't do this. Erioni only made a request to the Municipal Council.

On the other hand, he and his lawyers know very well what the law stipulates and what criteria there are to obtain a permit.

There is a wedding, there is a death, there is a health issue and an exam.

This is what the Code says, there is no other. There is no oath or hearing in the Municipal Council and for this we have the precedent of Fredi Beleri in Himara, who was not allowed even 5 minutes or less, maybe 10 seconds to say the word "I swear". He was not allowed to do this. This is a precedent given by the court at all its levels.

But not only that, Fredi Beleri at least sent requests to prosecutors and courts, Erion Veliaj, as SPAK said yesterday, did not send any requests to SPAK until yesterday when he was dismissed because we do not know what could happen today that Veliaj or his lawyers "go crazy" and may request to be heard in the Municipal Council even after he has been dismissed from office.

What is wrong with Erion, but the truth is that until yesterday, at the moment of his dismissal, he had not made any request to the prosecutors, nor did SPAK make the official announcement to be heard, since they are the ones who give permission, the Municipal Council does not give permission.

Erion Veliaj is under security measures, under arrest in prison, by court decision, it is not the Municipal Council that took him and took him to Durrës prison, but the court took him after the request of the prosecutors and it is the prosecutors who give this permission, it is not the request of the Municipal Council, nor Edi Rama, nor Ulsi Manja, nor Mero Baze, no one else.

Permission is granted by prosecutors and the law is well-defined, but apparently Erion did not want to make a request.

Then he started playing games to use it as a tool of deception for his appeal to say that he was not heard. But how was he not heard when he did not make an official request to the relevant responsible legal institutions to be heard?

It is not the Municipal Council that the request is addressed to, it is not the Socialist Party that the request is addressed to, but the prosecutors. After the prosecutors give permission, the council may agree to be heard, although we said above what are the forms and ways in which Erion Veliaj could be heard, but it refused to do any of these.

But the worst thing is that he didn't make any request, so his alibi for going to Strasbourg falls apart because he didn't even go to provoke the prosecutors into telling them to give him the request, since the latter could have probably given him the request to go to be heard, but Erion didn't even dare to go.

What will lead to Strasbourg and the court, the fact that he was not heard when he did not request permission to go and be heard, but simply addressed a request to the Municipal Council that does not have the authority to grant permission to Erion Veliaj?

What is the law, Veliaj's passion for making statuses on social networks? That Erioni was saying that I should be heard here and there, everyone should open the doors and go?

This act of listening without making a request is the same as the stupidity he repeats by asking the Court to let his foreign lawyers in even though they are not representatives of a European country, and he knows very well that the law only allows two legal representatives, no more than this number.

That's why someone needs to clarify Erion Veliaj, tell him that with this nonsense he has no business in Strasbourg, because these do not seem to be steps taken by lawyers, by knowledgeable jurists.

Someone does these stupid things, maybe they do them themselves out of their own minds, but to escape once and for all, they must escape from Mero Baze's mind, they must escape from the stupid things they do every day, and Erioni must face justice in the responsible institutions as he is entitled to by law, not according to his whims and passions, because justice can be done the way Erioni or his media wits want./ CNA
