The Bulgarian Prime Minister, Kiril Petkov, seems to have given negative signals today regarding the opening of negotiations for Albania and Northern Macedonia.

Kiril Petkov stated that there was no chance for Bulgaria to lift its veto on Northern Macedonia during this EU summit, but hinted that a solution could be forthcoming in the coming days.

Petkov, now the former prime minister, stands by his view that parliament should adopt a resolution allowing the veto to be lifted, based on the approval of the French Presidency proposal.
