The former Minister of Agriculture, professor Haxhi Aliko, has passed away

The pedagogue and personality of Veterinary Sciences in Albania, Haxhi Aliko, has passed away at the age of 82. Aliko has had a distinguished career both in the academic and political fields. 

Also, Aliko has also engaged in politics, where he was elected deputy, and then he was appointed Minister of Agriculture, in the government of Bashkim Fino in 1997.

The sad news has been confirmed by the Albanian Veterinary Medicine

“Jeta e profesor Alikos është e lidhur ngushtë me Fakultetin e Mjekësisë Veterinare, në të cilin u shkollua dhe zhvilloi një karrierë të shkëlqyer akademike 35-vjeçare, duke e filluar si asistent lektor dhe duke vijuar si titullar i lëndës “Fiziologjia e Kafshëve Bujqësore”, përgjegjës i Katedrës “Fiziologji-Biokimi” për 16 vjet dhe deri në Rektor i Universitetit Bujqësor të Tiranës për 4 vjet.

Si pedagog, Prof. Haxhi Aliko ka qenë kompetent i padiskutueshëm në lëndën e fiziologjisë dhe njëherësh tepër metodik e serioz në raport me studentët. Njohuritë e thella, qetësia dhe elokuenca në përçimin e njohurive si dhe formimi i tij kulturor universal, ishin tiparet dalluese që i dhanë atij statusin e një profesori autoritar në mjedisin universitar.
