Pilgrimage to Tomorri Mountain/ Police of Berat draws up the plan of measures: 185 officers will be on the ground

The Police of Berat has drawn up a plan of measures to guarantee order and security, to prevent accidents, increase road safety, guarantee the normal circulation of vehicles and pedestrians on road axes and in tourist areas, before, during and after the pilgrimage in Malin e Tomorri, for the period 18 - 25 August 2022.

• Pursuant to the plan of measures, a plan has been drawn up for the deployment of Police services along all road axes that lead to Malin e Tomorri, as well as in the external premises of the Tomb Mountain.

• There will be 185 officers on the ground with about 42 vehicles of DVP Berat, which will be supported by the services of the FNSH-Fier Department, as well as by the Operational Unit for Road Safety, which will supervise 24 hours and manage any situation created on the road axes, as well as in the premises around the church in Kulmak, where the religious rites will be performed.

• For the implementation of this plan of measures, there will be cooperation with the local government bodies, PMNZSH., Berat Regional Hospital, the Bektashi World Court, etc.

• Itinerary for the circulation of pilgrims' vehicles:

The route for the drivers of the vehicles going towards Mount Tomorr (towards Teke) will be:

Entrance of the city of Berat - Kombinati roundabout - City ring - Uznovë roundabout - Plirëz intersection - Teqeja e Kulmaku.


The itineraries for drivers returning from Mount Tomorr (Teqeja) will be:

Teqeja e Kulmakut – Bargullaz – Pronovik – Poliçan – Uznovë – Berat (main Antipatrea road) - Kombinati roundabout;

Teqe e Kulmakut – Novaj – Bogovë – Poliçan – Uznovë – Berat (main road Antipatrea) - Kombinati roundabout.

Drivers and pilgrims coming from the city of Çorovodë are advised to use the road axis "Çorovodë - Gjerbës - Teqeja Kulmak" and return.


• Limitations for tools:

On the road axes "Vlashuk Kuçovo - Berat", "Ura Kuçit - Dimal - Berat", "Pobrat - Dimal - Berat", "Berat - Mount Tomorrit", "Berat - Çorovodë", "Çorovodë - Gjerbës - Mount Tomorrit", no heavy tonnage vehicles will be allowed to circulate from 06:00 - 24:00, for the period 18 - 25 August 2022.

There will also be restrictions for buses, which will not be allowed to circulate on the "Plirëz - Teqeja" axis Kulmakut - Mount of Tomorri".

The police call on the drivers of the vehicles that will participate in the pilgrimage, to follow the traffic rules, to respect the speed limits, not to drive under the influence of alcohol, to avoid using the phone while driving, as well as to use seat belts.

Due to the parameters of the road, in the "Plirëz - Teqeja e Kulmaku" road segment, vehicles will move in convoy and overtaking will not be allowed.

Also, it is prohibited to stand and rest vehicles on the road axis.

Drivers must implement and follow the instructions of Police officers for the places where rest and parking of vehicles will be allowed.

Citizens' understanding is requested for movement restrictions in some road segments in the city of Berat.

It should be noted that on all road axes and the surrounding areas of Kulmak, during 24 hours, there will be the presence of Police services, who will assist and provide help in any case of need.
