For Leli Alushaj, Sunday, August 14, was a normal working day. He was notified by the owner of the bar where he has been working for 9 years as a waiter about the arrival of 30 Spanish tourists.

But the 33-year-old did not think that this would be the day when he would save his life and become a hero.

"A lady was not feeling well at the time. I saw that something was wrong and immediately intervened to give first aid. All the people who happened to be nearby were completely confused", says Alushaj.

The tourist from Spain expressed her gratitude.

“Më ka bërë ftesë. Më tha që ke shtëpinë tënde në Spanjë, mund të vish kur të duash. Derën e ke të hapur. Është rreth të 50-ve zonja”, tregon ai.

Po ashtu dhe ndjekësit në rrjetet sociale, që iu shtuan menjëherë sapo video e veprimit të tij, u bë virale.

Dhënien e ndihmën së shpejtë Leli Alushaj e ka mësuar para 13 viteve.

“Ka qenë kursi patentës i pari ku kam mësuar, pastaj shefi i restoranti që na ka trajnuar për situata të tilla ku duhet të jemi të përgatitur. Gjera që ndodhin janë, njerëz jemi”, thotë 33-vjeçari për Euronews Albania.

Nuk është hera parë që 33-vjeçari nga Fieri ka dhënë ndihmë e shpejtë, në punë dhe jashtë saj.  E më krenar për këtë ndjehet familja e tij.

"I have a 3 and a half year old daughter, my wife, parents and 2 sisters. Mom, dad and especially the little girl call me a hero. Even when I take her to kindergarten, the girl says: My father is a hero", he says.

Whether or not Leli Alushaj, the hero waiter, will accept the offer to go to Spain, he will tell us later.
