Animalist Jonida Çobani Gjoka called on citizens not to consume animal meat, firstly for the health side because it takes three days to digest, and secondly for the emotional side.

In an interview for "Goodmorning Albanians" in Euronea Albania, she said that she is currently taking care of 7 animals, but she had 23.

Jonida said that she had saved 39 animals last year and the last case was a puppy in the forests of Dajti that was skin and bones.

"Yesterday and the day before yesterday I ran to Dajt, almost an hour's drive for a puppy that was in very good condition, a puppy that was skin and bone malnourished, it must have had skin problems as well," she said.

The animalist showed that she takes these animals home and gives you first aid. According to her, if she had the opportunity, she would take care of more, pointing out that Albanians as a people do not have the habit of adopting street animals, which, as Jonida says, are the ones that need them the most.
