Meta hosts representatives of the Arber community: Vital for the protection and
President Ilir Meta with representatives of the Arbëre community

The President of the Republic Ilir Meta has received in the Presidency representatives of the Arbëresh community, specifically the Vice Mayor of the Arbëresh Municipality of Ururi, Molise, Mr. Emiliano Plescia and the Councilor for Culture of this Municipality, Mr. Roberto Anzivino.

It is impressive and inspiring to learn about their efforts to inherit from generation to generation the language, culture and traditions of Gjergj Kastrioti Skenderbeu's "Great Weather", which deserve to become part of UNESCO as soon as possible.

Jetike për mbrojtjen dhe forcimin e identitetit tonë kombëtar të mbështesim dhe ndihmojmë arbëreshët të ruajnë këtë pasuri të vyer historike dhe kulturore, vlerë e përbashkët e Shqipërisë dhe Italisë mike’, shkruan Meta në Facebook.

Është mbresëlënëse dhe frymëzuese të njihesh me përpjekjet e tyre për të trashëguar brez pas brezi gjuhën, kulturën dhe traditat e "Motit të Madh" të Gjergj Kastrioti Skënderbeut, që meritojnë sa më parë të bëhen pjesë e UNESCO.

It is vital for the protection and strengthening of our national identity to support and help the people of Arbëresh to preserve this historic and cultural wealth, a common value of Albania and friendly Italy.

I welcomed with great pleasure the invitation to visit the Municipality of Ururi and I will contribute with much love to the enrichment of its library with books and publications in the Albanian language. /CNA.al
