Disciplinary measures against opposition deputies/ Felaj is justified

The deputy of the Socialist Party, Ermonela Felaj, spoke about the tensions and strong debates in the last parliamentary sessions where opposition deputies were expelled.

According to Felaj, the tensions that are created are intended to show that there is a political crisis and this exists in the minds of the opposition MPs.

"I have watched the assembly for a long time. Four terms are not a few. I have seen it with the eyes of a simple member, even as the Minister of State for Relations with the Parliament and as the vice president, but I don't think that the public interest wins by stifling the argument. All my dedication, even as deputy speaker of the Parliament, is to implement the regulation and it is written clearly. Sufficient evidence has been given that some deliberately read otherwise. Tensions have accompanied us before every kind of political election, but there are also hidden goals that aim to show that there is a political crisis here, but this is only in their minds", said Felaj.

Regarding the measures taken against the opposition MPs, Felaj justified himself with the fact that if the opposition was faced with such a situation, it would act in the same way.

"The opposition would also do it if it was in the majority if we acted in the same way. I do not believe that anyone feels good when they see all these acts in the Assembly. So we have to oppose this thing with all the ways that the regulation allows us. I am not against being in opposition, but you also need to be understood, which has not actually happened. The majority will show tolerance as far as tolerance is allowed", said vice president Felaj./ CNA.al
