Theologian Vladimir Kera spoke about religious marriages performed in religious institutions.

Invited to the "Opinion" show, Kera said that the Albanian state should agree with the religious communities so that marriages that take place in religious institutions go directly to civil status.

"Religiously, the father's approval is a condition. The girl is not forced to marry or choose, but she cannot get the approval of her guardian. There is a witness and there is agreement.  

The age limit is determined by the conditions of maturity, not only sexual but also mental, as well as the child.

For a marriage to be considered valid, it needs to have proof of celebration.

In Germany it worked like this. Everyone who got married in a mosque in Gjemran went into civil status. It would be good for this to happen in Albania as well.

The state should agree with the communities so that all marriages are included in the code so that what happens in religious institutions also goes in the civil state," said the theologian./ CNA
