The Minister of Education and Sports, Ogerta Manastirliu, during the speech at the evening of "Sports Stars 2023" where she presented the award for their achievements to two athletes of the Special Olympics, swimmer Gersi Troka and weightlifter Adi Sula, declared that soon the Sports Law will include support for people with special abilities.

"Gersi and Adi are two champions in sports, but in fact they are also two champions in life. We are committed to supporting people with special abilities to reveal their potential and we will make it possible that with the amendments to the Law on Sports, which we are preparing, we will also include the Special Olympics in the law so that they they have the right support", said Manastirliu.

Also, Minister Manastirliu spoke about the work being done by MAS in cooperation with KOKSH for the already started project of massiveizing sports in schools.

"Our commitment and that of KOKSH in terms of the sports movement in schools, I am convinced that it will bring even more fruit in the future because it is the biggest reservoir of talent for tomorrow's champions", said Manastirliu.

At the GALA evening "Sports Stars 2023" where awards and trophies were given to the athletes with the best achievements in 2023, Prime Minister Edi Rama, President of the European Olympic Committee, Spyros Capralos, President of the Committee were present Albanian National Olympian Fidel Ylli, record holder and World Champion, Luan Shabani, as well as elite athletes and coaches of various sports./ CNA
