Ditmir Bushati and Lura Pollozhani in the "Public Square" podcast discussed the elections in North Macedonia, which produced a new political configuration.

Much is clear regarding the government, the opposition and the new president.

 However, there are some uncertainties regarding the Euro-Atlantic future of the country, the relations with the neighbors and above all, for the democratic stability of North Macedonia, which originates from inter-ethnic understanding.

Pollozhani thinks that in these elections "there was a change from soft or indirect "anti-Albanianism" to what became directly "anti-BDI".

To some extent, VLEN may have indirectly played the role of the power of this rhetoric, but for a very long time the idea was created in North Macedonia that "BDI is to blame for everything".

In these elections, we also had a new actor, VETËVENDOSJE. I don't think SELF-DETERMINATION had any influence.

But we can see a sympathy for Prime Minister Albin Kurti, and I believe that this sympathy is precisely related to the fact that he is seen as having other ideas, which we do not have here.

Bushati and Pollozhani dwell on the need for another circulation of ideas where Albania and Kosovo have an important role as actors, "not in terms of the cooperation of political parties as much as in the circulation of political ideas and the birth of new ideas" .

Lura stops at the danger that comes to North Macedonia from a possible alliance with Hungary and Serbia, which seems very logical and I think very quick to do./ CNA
