The Kapshtica border crossing has registered an increase in the flow of travelers on the eve of the Easter holiday . According to official data, in the last 24 hours alone, 4,320 citizens from Greece have entered Albanian territory, most of them Albanian immigrants who live and work there. Meanwhile, the number of citizens who have traveled from Albania to Greece is lower, with 2,250 people registered at the exit.

Despite the influx, the situation at the Kapshtica border crossing appears calm and under control. Travelers have stated that customs procedures have been quick and no delays or problems have been encountered, either at Albanian or Greek customs.

"I'm going home to celebrate Easter. I'll stay for a week or two and come back in May for the elections. We didn't have any problems on the way. Happy Easter to everyone," the citizen said.

We will stay for 1 week, the customs were very good, we also passed through the Greek customs quickly and the Albanian one, we only have two cars," the citizen says.

"We are going to Prespa, we came for Easter with my wife and mother-in-law. We will stay for 3-4 days. We had no delays at customs, they work very well," said the citizen.

"We are going to Korça and Prespa, my husband is from Prespa and we will celebrate Easter there. We are celebrating as a family, we have invited the girls, we will all be there and we say we will have a good time. We want to stay 1 more week, we can't because we have work. I wish the Albanians with all my heart, a happy Easter, may they have health and happiness because we have suffered immensely as a people," said the citizen.

The influx is expected to continue to increase in the coming days, as many citizens living abroad have decided to spend the Easter holiday with their families and relatives in Albania./CNA
