Archbishop of Thyatira and Great Britain, Nikita, congratulates His Beatitude,

The Archbishop of Thyatira and Great Britain, Mr. Nikita, also President of the Conference of European Churches (CEC), has sent a message of congratulations to His Grace Joan, on his election as Archbishop of Tirana, Durrës and all of Albania.

In his letter, Archbishop Nikita expresses joy for this sacred responsibility and prays for God's abundant blessings on the ministry of Bishop John.

"We share in your joy as you take on this sacred responsibility and pray for God's abundant blessings on your ministry," reads the letter from the KKE Chairman to the newly elected church leader.

Archbishop Nikita confirmed the deeply rooted faith of the Albanian Orthodox community.

"We are confident that under your leadership, the Church in Albania will continue to flourish, growing in unity, strength, and love for Christ and for one another."

The KKE looks forward to its cooperation with the new Archbishop.

"Your leadership will be an invaluable asset not only to the Orthodox Church, but also to the broader ecumenical movement. We believe that, through cooperation and shared vision, KEK and the Autocephalous Orthodox Church of Albania will continue to build bridges of faith, understanding and cooperation among Christians."

"May God grant you wisdom, patience, and strength as you lead the faithful in Albania and beyond," the letter reads./CNA
