Head of SPAK: We registered the "McGonigal" file since January 2022

Former FBI official Charles McGonigal

The head of SPAK, Altin Dumani, spoke during a meeting at the "Luigj Gurakuqi" university in Shkodër, regarding the Albanian file of the former FBI official, Charles McGonigal.

Dumani said that this matter has been registered in SPAK since January 2022, although there has been no public statement from the institution he leads.

He said that SPAK will issue a public statement as soon as it provides concrete facts.

"We are sensitive to what happens in the media or anywhere else. Many media in February last year and until 2-3 months ago we received criticism why we did not record the McGonigal case and all critics should feel disappointed that we recorded it as early as January 2022. We have to wait for the moment when to have something concrete to publish", stressed the head of SPAK./ CNA
