The Special Appeals Chamber decided today to uphold the decision of the Independent Qualification Commission to dismiss the legal assistant of the Supreme Court, Saimir Nazifi.
The decision was announced by the panel, composed of Ina Rama as presiding judge, Albana Shtylla as rapporteur, and three members Natasha Mulaj, Rezarta Schuetz, and Sokol Çomo.
"At the end of the trial in the deliberation room, the trial panel, based on Article 66, point 1, letter "a" of Law No. 84/2016, "On the temporary re-evaluation of judges and prosecutors in the Republic of Albania", unanimously decided:
Leaving into force decision no. 777, dated 25.06.2024 of the Independent Qualification Commission, concerning the re-evaluation subject Saimir Nazifi.
This decision is final and has immediate effect.
