Searches in Drenova prison / Narcotics and a phone found

Sources indicate that about 1 week ago, a search was conducted at the Drenova Prison, where a small amount of the narcotic cannabis sativa was found in Building B of the detention center.

On the other hand, a phone was also found in the room of a convict with the initials Xh.L, in high security, the phone which is suspected to belong to Laert Haxhiu.

The drugs and the phone have already been seized and the latter will be examined to see if there are any conversations and to confirm if it belongs to the convicted Haxhiu.

This is not the first time that this convict's phones have been found in prison premises, as 4 phones belonging to Haxhiu were seized in June.

Investigations are continuing by the prosecution to further clarify all the circumstances, to also discover the method and persons involved in bringing drugs and the phone into the Drenova Prison./ CNA
