The European Commission bans the use of Tik Tok for employees / Security reasons

The European Commission has banned staff from using the Chinese social media app TikTok. The decision comes amid security concerns in the wake of rising tensions between Beijing and the West.

Western governments are increasingly alarmed by evidence that Chinese technology companies help the Communist Party and its intelligence services collect vast amounts of data around the world.

A senior official told POLITICO that all Commission staff were ordered Thursday morning to remove the TikTok app from their official and personal devices.

Zyrtarëve u kërkohet të çinstalojnë aplikacionin e njohur  “sa më shpejt të jetë e mundur” dhe përpara datës 15 mars.

“Që nga 15 marsi, pajisjet me aplikacionin e instaluar do të konsiderohen të papërputhshme me mjedisin e korporatës”, theksohet në email.
