"The time for deductions is over"/ Meta: We will seek 100 more

Former President Ilir Meta reacted today, after in the session that took place yesterday at the GJKKO, his lawyer Kujtim Cakrati requested the calling of around 100 witnesses.

As Meta stated in a reaction, 100 more witnesses will be required in the process, including 40 foreign citizens.

Meta added that this step will put an end to deductions, to continue with other investigations following evidence related to the CEZ-DIA case.

"The time for deductions is over, ready to do the investigations that didn't happen for 8 years!"

We welcome the approximately 100 witnesses called by the Special Prosecution Office and especially the three super-reporters.

We will also seek about 100 other witnesses, of which about 40 are foreign nationals, mainly American citizens, diplomats and officials, including all representatives of lobbying companies that have made contracts with LSI.

A special invitation will be extended to all shareholders and directors of the Washington DIA, as well as to the leaders of the McKeon Group, including Greek-American lawyer Fidetzis.

"Due to the inability of Charles McGonigal to appear in person in court, who is serving a prison sentence in the US for Edi Rama and is suffering for the catastrophic damage he caused to Albanian-American relations, we will also address a series of questions to him through the court through registered letters," Meta said./CNA
