The former mayor of Kukës, Safet Gjici, who has addressed the Court of First Instance of General Jurisdiction Elbasan with the request to be released from prison.

He is currently, according to his defense lawyer, undergoing medical training in a private hospital. His request for release from prison due to his serious health condition will be examined today at 1 p.m. in the Court of First Instance of the General Jurisdiction of Elbasan, judge Suela Lika.

A few days ago, the scheduled session for the examination of this case was interrupted and postponed as the legal documentation presented to the court had significant deficiencies and ambiguity regarding the address of the hospital where Gjici is being treated.
