"Pity for the two foreigners who were inside"/ Berisha: The former

The leader of the Democratic Party, Sali Berisha, in his statement to the media after leaving SPAK, also spoke about the protest held on Saturday afternoon and the incidents recorded during it.

Berisha said they were unaware that the villa of former dictator Enver Hoxha had been turned into a cultural center and that there were people inside when fireworks were thrown at the building. According to him, that villa should have been turned into a “museum of the inhuman tortures of the dictatorship.”

"Our protests are more peaceful. If pyrotechnic elements are used, they are a sign of hatred towards Edi Rama. The protests will continue to be peaceful. Pyrotechnics were used, but no one was injured by them. On the other hand, we have people shot in the head with rubber bullets. We are determined to continue our protests without violence. No police officer was injured by the protesters. I feel sorry for those foreigners who were there, and I cannot assure them that they were not the object of those pyrotechnics. But no one knew that they were there. I feel sorry for them. The legacy of Enver Hoxha, when I asked, they told me that it has become a cultural center. It could be a museum of state torture, but to make it a cultural center is an insult to over 7 thousand executed. Only the sick mind of Edi Rama can make it a cultural center. It could become a museum of the inhuman torture of the dictatorship. The presence of two foreigners there was a pity and "I don't know how it can become a cultural center, but Edi Rama is known as his admirer ," Berisha said. /CNA
