The head of the parliamentary group of the SP, Taulant Balla, announced today that within 10 days the Socialist Party will submit to the Assembly the proposal for changes to the law on Political Parties and to the Electoral Code.

"There is an urgent need for Albanian politics and other institutions to be cleansed of former state security collaborators. We discussed the 2 draft laws that are in the process, the first law on the authority for information on state insurance files. There will no longer be any obstacle to verify even those who have been verified before. And naturally also the other issue for the provision under the Electoral Code of the Republic of Albania, where all candidates should apply to the Authority and they have the opportunity to verify.

As for the territorial reform, Balla has said that it is in the final stage and the hearings will be completed within 3 days, as the PD demands the addition of municipalities and the SP not to change the map. /CNA.al
