The head of the DP parliamentary group, Gazment Bardhi, reacted after the investigation by "RAI 3", which dealt with Prime Minister Edi Rama's connections with organized crime.
Through a post on social networks, Bardhi writes that the details that have emerged from the show "Report" on "RAI 3" show that the state has been handed over to organized crime.
Bardhi demands the investigation and the resignation of Prime Minister Edi Rama. According to the head of the DP group, Rama should be investigated for his role in the strengthening of organized crime, which during his 11-year government, are the biggest beneficiaries of tenders and strategic investor status.
"Edi Rama's connection with organized crime and his appointment of Ergys Agasi as special delegate for relations with criminal organizations from Durrës to Shkodër, from Elbasan to Vlora, is the formalization of the handing over of the state into the hands of organized crime. This undermines democracy and seriously endangers the existence of the state. It is the same connections that allegedly transformed the State Information Service into an organization in the hands of organized crime, undoing the constitutional and legal role of this institution.
The investigation of the program Report on Rai 3, as well as the reflection in other international media of this sad reality for the country and its European future, deserves a serious treatment by the Assembly, as long as the one responsible, Prime Minister Edi Rama, continues in his irresponsibility him, pretend he doesn't see or hear. Even the serious BILD newspaper confirms that German investigators suspect Olsi Rama's involvement in cocaine trafficking in Hanover, a criminal activity related to the establishment of Xibraka's laboratory.
The Parliamentary Group of the Democratic Party will request the development of a parliamentary debate on Thursday on this issue, exercising its responsibilities in relation to the public interest and encouraging a real parliamentary debate on the measures that the Assembly of Albania should take to cut ties organized crime with the government.
Edi Rama must resign. He should be investigated for his role in empowering organized crime, which during his 11-year rule, are the biggest beneficiaries of tenders and strategic investor status. Edi Rama is the political sponsor of the inclusion of organized crime in Parliament and government, giving them the status of untouchables for 11 years. The silence of the responsible law-enforcement institutions is complicity!", writes Bardhi./ CNA
