The scandal deepens with the Tirana incinerator affair. It is learned that for this year alone, the company that manages the waste in Lanfilli of Sharra has received 975 million lek, or 8.3 million euros, from the state budget.

Data from Open Data originating from the treasury branch in the Ministry of Finance show that the company "Integrated Energy BVSPV", contracted for the construction of the Tirana incinerator, received the last payment on November 8.

Although the country is boiling over from the scandal with the incinerators, payments have been made regularly every month by the municipalities of Tirana, Durrës, Kavajë and Vorë.

We remind you that the concession contract for incinerators was signed on August 31, 2017 for the processing of waste by incineration and the production of electricity for a period of 30 years.

SPAK has started investigations into the affair of the three incinerators, while it has closed the Elbasan incinerator. SPAK yesterday issued 11 arrest warrants, of which 5 people were put in handcuffs and 6 others were declared wanted./ BA - CNA.al
