4 journalists were arrested this Tuesday by the police, who were suspected of selling drugs in the former Block, while 300 doses of ecstasy were seized.

The photo of one of them, who had a press card, was circulated in the media.

Regarding this, a reaction has come from the Association of Professional Journalists of Albania, which clarifies that the journalist is not a member.

In addition, the IJF declares that the arrested journalist's card is forged, while demanding that both the holder and the manufacturer be held legally responsible for the forgery.

"The Association of Professional Journalists of Albania became aware of the news of the police action today in the area of ??the former block, where four people were arrested for selling drugs. One of the persons, citizen Ergis Noka, had the document in the photo (attached to this email), which resembles the IFJ card used by members of our association.

For public transparency, we clarify that citizen Ergis Noka is not a member of the Association of Professional Journalists of Albania and that document is faxed. Any of our members, who has an IFJ card, can see with the naked eye that the elements in the document are not the ones that have the original card of the International Federation of Journalists, of which the Association of Professional Journalists of Albania is a part.
