Deputy Prime Minister Belinda Balluku was present at the two-day digital summit "Prishtina 2022".

Taking the trigger from the cyber attacks that happened in Albania in the last few days, Balluku said that this should be seen as a reflection to review the protection of the systems.

Among other things, Balluku invites the internationals to financially support the countries of the region as the damage of the attacks can be cross-border.

"Digitalization is not a choice but a necessity. For this reason, we must be in step with new developments and as a government accommodate all of these. The cyber attacks in Albania were not from citizens but were a professionally organized attack from another country, but our reaction and that of our allies has been quick to protect against these cyber attacks. This should be seen as a reflection to review the protection of our systems. The Albanian government is focused in this direction. I invite the international community to financially support the countries of the region as the damage of the attacks can be cross-border", said Balluku./ CNA.al
