SP against the "Bezhani" and Mezini/Felaj commissions: There are no related guarantees for their elected officials

In the Laws Committee, the SP-PD's initiatives for opening the files are discussed.

The deputy of the Socialist Party, Ermonela Felaj, has expressed doubts about the certificates of purity of the figure of the persons who want to run for state functions given by the commissions known as Mezini or Bezhani.

 "The composition of the commission was such that these people came from the government, and from each individual minister. There is no legal guarantee to make us believe that it was the solution and the right path to follow, to exclude former security officials from running for state functions. The time has come for us to be open to the past, no longer allowing that these could have been used for blackmail, to protect ourselves", said Felaj./CNA.al
