The Greek media in.g r has published an article about the judge of the Special Court Irena Gjoka. In the article it is underlined that Irena Maneku, (the last name she got from her first husband) has been arrested by the Greek authorities for using false documents with which she and her ex-husband tried to show that they were of Greek origin.

According to the article, Irena Maneku in 2002 tried to cross the Kakavija border point using a forged consular visa.

"For this reason, she was banned from entering the Schengen countries for 12 years, and her data along with her fingerprints were registered in the relevant database," the article said.

In the meantime, it is underlined that the judge of GJKKO is biased towards Greece and the minority mayor Beleri, as she is judging the latter.

The trial of the elected mayor of Himara, who has been in custody since the eve of the elections in Albania, in May 2023, Fredi Beleri, has turned into a diplomatic game between Athens and Tirana. A case that Athens has linked to Albania's European path and has been the target of criticism from other EU member states. In addition to the ongoing diplomatic game, the composition of the court is also interesting, and especially our story of the three judges who judged Beleris.

Judge

The story of Irena Shpata of Hekurani and Dallandyshe, born 2-15-1970. Irena Shpata, who since 2011 uses the last name of her current (second) husband, Gjoka. And that according to the data, there are "open accounts" with Greece.

arrest

According to evidence in the past, Irena Shpata was arrested in Greece for using false documents with which she tried to show that she was of Greek origin. For this reason, she was banned from entering the Schengen countries for 12 years and her data along with her fingerprints were registered in the relevant database.

forgery

More specifically, Irena Shpata together with her first husband who bore the surname Maneku attempted to enter Greece on December 24, 2002 from the border point of Kakavija using a consular visa falsified in terms of validity period.

If someone had a 100-day consular visa, they could get a special immigrant identity card (EDTO) in Greece. She had falsified the validity period of the consular visa to appear to be 100 days, trying to show that she was allegedly from Vorio-Epirus. Together with her husband at the time, they appealed to an administrative court in Greece. Their request was rejected.

Access to the corruption court

In 2019, Irena Shpata-Gjoka applied for membership in the GJKKO anti-corruption court. The court that is currently trying Beler

Appointments had to be approved in principle by the International Monitoring Operation Committee (known in Albanian as OMN) which was made up of foreigners. This committee found that Irena Shpata-Gjoka had committed forgery and also had a problem with her and fired her.

Later, however, it was returned, after appealing the decision of the International Examinations Committee and after the independent qualification assessment commission (which is Albanian) accepted it, considering that everything is in order.

Prejudice

Based on this development, Irena Shpata-Gjoka is, according to many followers of the case, controlled by Rama as she owes him gratitude for placing her in this position despite the forgery.

At the same time, according to the same sources, it can be said that she is biased towards Greece and the minority mayor Beleri. It is worth remembering that the trial of Fredi Beleris is set to continue on Tuesday, March 5, with his statement and the end of the process. /CNA
