The hearing for former prime minister Sali Berisha will be held this Monday at the Special Court.

The lawyers of the president of the DP have requested the removal of the "house arrest" security measure, for the "Partizani" case.

This request was expected to be considered in the session of February 27, but was postponed due to the absence of judge Irena Gjoka.

We remind you that since December 30, the chairman of the DP is under house arrest.

The Special Prosecutor's Office accuses the former prime minister of "Passive corruption of high state officials or local elected officials", carried out in cooperation with his son-in-law, Jamarbër Malltezin.

SPAK claims that Berisha, in his capacity as Prime Minister, has favored the privatization procedures of the former "Partizani" complex and the direct beneficiary has been Malltezi.

Berisha's lawyers have contested the charges filed by the Special Prosecutor's Office./  CNA
