Police balance sheet for February/ 40 people in prison for domestic violence, 20

The State Police has made a balance sheet for the month of February 2024.

Blues have made it possible to finalize 120 operations, all over the country.

7 criminal events against the person were prevented as a result of the immediate intervention of the Police services and their professional actions.   

40 people were put in handcuffs, preventing the escalation of cases of violence in their families.

In addition, the investigative actions carried out in implementation of the "Rule of Law" operational plan revealed 3 incidents in the field of crimes against the person, which were initially reported as accidental, as well as 50 thefts committed previously, 3 of them through threats with gun.   

20 citizens declared internationally wanted have been put in handcuffs, as a result of continuous controls of the State Police structures and the exchange of information with international partners.     

467 citizens have been arrested, detained or criminally prosecuted, within the framework of 2 national mega-operations "Temple 2" and "Rule of Law", 30 of whom have been declared wanted.

As part of the "Rule of Law" operation, 46 firearms, 8 shotguns, 3 remote-controlled mines, 1462 kg of explosives, 227 electric capsules and detonators, 5 tritol molds, sums of money and illegal items were seized.  

As part of the "Temple 2" operation, 11 kg of heroin, 1.5 kg of cocaine and hundreds of doses of this substance, 27.3 kg of cannabis, hundreds of doses and seeds of this substance, quantities of cannabis in the form of chocolate, 10 scales for dividing the substance were seized. narcotics in doses and significant amounts of money benefited from criminal activities in this area.     

During the month of February, in implementation of the "Rule of Law" operational plan, 12 operations were finalized to combat criminal activities in the field of economic and financial crimes.  

Various assets worth about 100,000 euros, sourced from criminal activities, were seized within the "Real Estate 1" and "Real Estate 2" operations, developed by the Elbasan Police. 

Continuous controls for the identification and suppression of illegal activity in the field of gambling have revealed 20 other premises/premises adapted for this activity. 10 computers and 40 cell phones that were used for this activity were seized as material evidence, along with significant amounts of money benefited from it. 

As a result of other operations in the field of economic and financial crimes, various smuggled goods of considerable value, 40 vehicles, about 110,000 euros and 2,500 counterfeit euros were seized. 

The increased denunciations of citizens, for the misuse of their data, on social networks, have intensified the investigative work of the Sectors for the Investigation of Cybercrimes in each DVP, for the investigations of these cases and the prosecution of the perpetrators. 

During this month, 33 citizens who have misused the data of other citizens, for opening fake accounts on social networks, with the purpose of profit or denigration, have been identified and brought to criminal responsibility. 

2 search-and-rescue operations were carried out by the Shkodra and Tirana Police, to help 2 tourists who were stranded on the mountain and a climber who had injured his leg.

The Traffic Police and smart cars have been present during this month, in all axes of the country, with the sole purpose: preventing road accidents and facilitating the movement of road users.

As a result of preventive work and continuous monitoring:

176 drivers were arrested, of which 111 for driving while intoxicated and 65 for driving without a driving license;

328 driving licenses were suspended, of which 215 for exceeding speed limits, 52 for driving under the influence of alcoholic beverages and 61 for other violations of the Highway Code, for which this administrative measure is provided.

Meanwhile, the Border Police has provided quality, fast and ethical service to citizens entering/exiting, in all PKKs, as well as guaranteeing the free and safe circulation of citizens, goods and services.

During the month of February, in fulfillment of the tasks for the prevention and combating of cross-border crimes, the following were recorded and attacked:

- 25 cases of illegal border crossing;

- 13 cases of using false documents to cross the border; 

- 4 cases of motor vehicle trafficking;

- 3 cases of smuggling of goods;

- 7 cases of non-declaration of monetary amounts;

- 3 cases of abandonment of minors.

Meanwhile, from the Community Policing structures, lessons and sensitization activities have continued in schools, as well as in cooperation with security officers and the entire security chain in schools, the correct implementation of the measures defined in the School Safety Package has continued. .

The State Police guarantees that they will intensively continue the "Rule of Law" and "Temple 2" mega-operations, with the cooperation of citizens and international partners, to create a safe environment and guarantee the implementation of citizens' rights./ CNA
