The judge in the case of the Ukrainian Fedyr Alpatov, accused of espionage after the capture of Uzina e Gramsci, has given up the case.

The news was announced by the lawyer Saimir Vishaj, who announced that the judge, who is also the president of the Elbasan Court, argued her request on the grounds that her husband worked in the Ministry of Defense.

Vishaj declares that it is now necessary to wait for the decision for the judge to be given by the Court of Appeal of Durrës, while the deadline for the request of the Ukrainian citizen to replace the security measure is 5 days.

"Today at the Court of Elbasan, at 1:30 p.m., a court session was scheduled with the object of replacing the security measure for the Ukrainian citizen Fedyr Alpatov, accused of espionage at the Cekin Gramsh weapons factory, arrested on 20.08.2022. The presiding judge was the President of the Elbasan Court, who in the court session waived the judgment on the grounds that her husband worked in the Ministry of Defense. Her resignation will be judged by the president of the Durrës Court of Appeal. The deadline for the request of the Ukrainian citizen is 5 days.
