Today, the new head of SPAK, Altin Dumani, was elected, replacing the former head Arben Kraja.

The reactions have been many, starting from the American embassy, ??to politicians and high state officials.

Many saw this process as a clash between Prime Minister Edi Rama and the US ambassador, Yuri Kim.

But there were also other reactions, which expressed their opposition to the process of electing the new head of SPAK.

Among them is the lawyer Sokol Hazizaj, who commented on the process, stating that there was a constitutional error.

 "I think that there is an increased attention of international institutions, especially the American embassy, ??and because of this I would say that today it was not put into the election of the new leader, there is a constitutional error. If you look at article 148, the election of the head of the Special Prosecutor's Office is decided by the majority of the members of the KLP.

In the specific case, we are not dealing with the majority, if 5 is the majority of 11... There are some general notions where the proportions are set either by the number of attendees or by the total number of the body. In the specific case, we have the number of KLP members, which determined the number 11.

And when it is not 11, 11 must be created to get 5 votes. To me, at least, it presumes that this does not have positive reflections for the future", he said during the interview on ABC / CNA.al
