The Supreme Court overturns the decision for the former head of the

The Supreme Court has returned the case of former Constitutional Court head Bashkim Dedja for trial and has requested that he be tried by a different panel.

Bashkim Dedja was sentenced on June 26, 2023 to 1 year of probation by the Court of First Instance after being investigated by SPAK for "refusal to declare, failure to declare, concealment or false declaration of assets, private interests of elected persons and public servants or of any other person who has a legal obligation to declare."

The decision was upheld by the Appeal Court of Kosovo in February 2024.

An apartment, with a surface area of ??60 m2, located in the Kryemedhenj area, Golem Kavajë Administrative Unit, has been seized from the former head of the Constitutional Court.

Meanwhile, the former President of the Constitutional Court, Bashkim Dedja, passed the first instance of the Vetting, but was overthrown by a decision of the Special Appeals Chamber.
