GJKKO announces the decision for the former director of the Albanian

The Special Court against Corruption and Organized Crime announced today the verdict for the former director of the Albanian Anti-Corruption Agency, Sonila Qato.

Qato is among 10 accused of public tender abuses.

Decision according to full notification:

"The guilty plea of the defendant Sonila QATO for committing the criminal offense "Violation of equality of participants in tenders or public auctions", provided for by Article 258 of the Criminal Code (as provided for in Article 258 of the Criminal Code at the time of the commission of the criminal offense) and her sentence to 6 (six) months of imprisonment.

In application of Article 63 of the Criminal Code, suspension of the execution of the prison sentence for the defendant Sonila QATO and the obligation to perform work in the public interest, without remuneration, for a period of 60 (sixty) hours, which will be fulfilled within a period of 6 months, provided that during this time she maintains regular contact with the Probation Service. 7.2. In application of Article 35, paragraph 2, of the Criminal Code, deprivation of the right to exercise public functions, for a period of 1 (one) year", the announcement states./CNA
