Fire situation/ 13 fires, 9 of them still active

From the data reported to the National Civil Emergency Operations Center, 13 fires have been reported, of which 3 fires have been extinguished, 9 fires are active and 1 is under monitoring.

Complete isolation and extinguishing of the fires has been carried out in:

-In the village of Guras, Buçimas administrative unit, Pogradec municipality

-In the village of Lapardha, Otllak administrative unit, Berat municipality

-In the village of Buz Madh, Cakran administrative unit, Fier municipality

Currently, outbreaks are active in:

-Dibar District. In the place called "Lake of Flowers", part of the Lure National Park, Lure administrative unit, Dibar municipality. The fire is developing in two separate foci, the foci below the Black Lake and above the village of Gurë-Lure.

-In the village of Strikçan, Zerqan administrative unit, Bulqiza municipality. A fire is being monitored in an area of bushes, thorns and dry grass.

-In the village of Zall Gjoçaj, Derjan administrative unit, Mat municipality, work has continued to extinguish the fire that broke out in the area called "Përroi i Zi", a forest area with pine and yew trees. Today, operational forces and 30 personnel from the Albanian Armed Forces have been engaged in the field. 1 Canadair aircraft from the Italian state is operating to help extinguish the fire.

Vlora Region

-In Sotiran, in the place called "Qafa e Shëngjergjit", above the village of Dukat, Orikum administrative unit, Vlora municipality, the work of the fire that broke out on 06.07.2025 has continued. The fire is very intense. Bushes and ferns are burning under the pine forest. The flames, aided by the wind today, also included the pine crown, making the situation problematic. Today, the operation continues with operational forces, assisted by 30 military forces, 1 AF helicopter and 2 Canadair aircraft.

Elbasan District

-In the village of Shmil, administrative unit Labinot-Mal, municipality of Elbasan, on the border with the village of Gurakuq, administrative unit Orenja, municipality of Librazhd. The fire has broken out in a chestnut forest and is of considerable size. Work is continuing in difficult terrain.

Lezha District

-In the Shkopet area, Milot administrative unit, the fire has continued to burn and has spread to the territory of the Kurbin, Mat and Mirditë municipalities. Military forces (26 personnel, 4 vehicles and 1 helicopter) as well as municipal forces from the Kurbin MZSH with 1 firefighting vehicle and 50 personnel, as well as the Mirditë MZSH with 11 personnel, have been engaged in the fire extinguishing operation. The aerial intervention has avoided the spread towards homes and businesses in Shkopet. The terrain is difficult and inaccessible for vehicles. The situation is being monitored by the relevant authorities and structures. There is no risk to residential buildings.

Korca District

-In the village of Vernik, administrative unit of Qendër Bilisht, Devoll municipality, the fire continues to be active, but towards the Kapshtica border crossing the fire was brought under control, work is continuing on the side of the village, as the fire is spreading through the vegetation, aided by the wind.

-In the village of Dishnicë, Bulgarec administrative unit, Korça municipality.

Gjirokaster District

-In the village of Kosina, administrative unit of Qendër Piskove, municipality of Përmet, work continues in difficult terrain to extinguish the fire.

21 firefighting vehicles and 519 operational forces were currently deployed in the firefighting operations. Also participating in today's operations are 190 forces from the Armed Forces with 19 vehicles and 1 Helicopter, 2 Canadair aircraft from the Greek state and 1 Canadair aircraft from the Italian state. /CNA
